On a Computer (Desktop/Laptop)
Joining via a web browser is the easiest way to attend without installing anything.
- Open the Invite: Click on the Teams Meeting link at the top of the Town Council Agenda.
- Select Browser Option: A web page will open offering several choices. Select Continue on this browser (or “Join on the web instead”).
- Browser Support: Use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome for the best experience.
- Enter Your Name: You will be prompted to type your name, which will be visible to other participants. You may also need to allow browser access to your microphone and camera.
- Wait in the Lobby: After clicking Join now, you might enter a virtual lobby until the meeting organizer admits you.
On a Mobile Device
Mobile browsers generally do not support the full Teams meeting experience. To join on a phone, you usually need to download the Teams app but you still do not need an account.
- Click the Teams Meeting link at the top of the Town Council Agenda.
- If you don’t have the app, you’ll be prompted to download it from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Once installed, open the app and select Join as a guest.
- Enter your name and tap Join meeting.
